Terms of Use

Effective: 30 August 2026 · CUHK MBA AI Club (a not-for-profit student club)

1. Membership eligibility

  • CUHK Member: open to CUHK students, faculty and alumni, verified with a CUHK email (@link.cuhk.edu.hk / @cuhk.edu.hk), with no annual fee.
  • Affiliate Member: open to students of other Hong Kong UGC universities, verified with their own institutional email, HK$200/year (Core upgrade HK$500/year).
  • Corporate Partner: open to lawfully registered companies, governed by a signed partnership agreement.

2. Fees & refunds

The club operates on a not-for-profit, cost-recovery basis. The one-time club badge is offered at cost (indicatively ~HK$9.9; the final price is transparently set by actual cost); individual activities may charge per-person cost-recovery fees announced in advance. All fees settle into the club's dedicated corporate bank account, supervised by the Treasurer (also Legal Advisor) and reported to the University periodically. Cancellations made 48+ hours before an event receive a full refund; within 48 hours, the seat may be transferred to another member.

3. Code of conduct

All members uphold the club motto — Integrity · Focus · Altruism: academic integrity (complying with the University's academic honesty rules and using AI tools responsibly in coursework and exams), focused growth, and kindness with zero tolerance for discrimination or harassment. Breaches may lead to suspension or termination of membership after verification by the Executive Committee.

4. Intellectual property

Website content, the logo and brand materials belong to CUHK MBA AI Club (and credited authors); member-created content remains the property of its authors. AI knowledge and materials shared by the club are for members' personal learning only and may not be resold commercially without authorisation. Where required by the University or a course, members must disclose the use of AI-generated content in their work.

5. Disclaimers

AI tool training, industry insights and materials provided by the club are for education and information only and do not constitute investment, legal or other professional advice; members remain responsible for their own decisions. The club does not warrant the content or service quality of external links or third-party tools (such as AI platforms).

6. Governing rules

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong SAR and CUHK student society regulations. Final interpretation of membership, fees and activities rests with CUHK MBA OFFICE. For personal data handling, see our Privacy Policy.
